What does Clean Mean?
I discovered the answer to this during my early career as an operating theatre assistant at St James' hospital in Leeds. There being clean meant the difference between life and death.
Imagine then how concerned I was when I returned to general ward work a few years later after having a family. I found that the standards of cleanliness left a lot to be desired and that people were vulnerable to infection and bacteria as a result. Having seen a number of infectious skin complaints passed on, I decided that the time had come to take action. I founded Ace Cleaning in June 2005 with an emphasis on the highest standards of hygiene and cleanliness for office and commercial premises, vital in these litigious days for businesses open to the public and with responsibility for staff health and safety.
Since then turnover has grown by 70% purely through word of mouth and personal recommendations. I now employ 4 staff all of whom are trained to my specification and I take personal responsibility for monitoring and checking their work. This ensures Ace Cleaning maintains its reputation and position as provider of premium quality service.
One day I would like to get into providing cleaning for hospitals but meantime I'm ready to expand further so if you operate in the York or Selby area and want to check whether 'you're clean enough' contact me.
